Hello, hello

Blog 1- Anyone there?

Hey there,

My name's Litlemisslifestyle, and i felt moved enough to make a blog. Why, I hear you ask. Well, I had a stroke of good luck really- but I'll get onto that in a while.

FYI I'm a twenty-something mother to a three year old whirlwind. I work full time in the property industry and I'm engaged to the man of my dreams. I'm mixed race, I'm curvy and a bit of a gobshite for time to time. I'm sure that these things will come to light in due course :)

Back to the story- little old me won a giveaway, for two tickets to the Curvy Convention in Hackney, London. Me & my equally curvy/gobshite-y bestie left the kids with their dads, and hopped the overground north of the river.

The venue was a church, called St John at Hackney, and the affair was modest, but the warmth that I felt was nothing short of amazing. For the first time, I was comfortable about clothes. I literally wanted to be a plus-size model and have all eyes on me.. But that's another thing for another time.

Things that shouted out to me:
Sydney's Closet- these guys have some serious options for evening/formal wear. They also show that plus size bridal needn't break the bank. I'll be keeping them in mind for my nuptials.

Voodoo Vixen- I've always admired the rockabilly look, and Voodoo Vixen had some really accessible options. The Judy dress is floral without apology. It packed a punch and is refreshing  against the simpering half-cocked florals of late.

So with my renewed esteem, I'm throwing myself on the internet to give honest reviews, hacks and my views on fashion, beauty and all things home and parenting.
